A Note on Our Partnership with Amelia Sordell and Xero
Amelia is a talented creator who we are proud to work with – a small business owner with professionalism, integrity and drive. She created the video at the center of the recent conversation in the accounting and bookkeeping community.
She followed the process that she was asked to, and the post was approved by Gen3. We recognize that the messaging did not convey the values that Xero intended and we want to make clear that this was through no fault of Amelia. We are implementing new strategies and policies to further support her and our other creators, to prevent further misunderstandings moving forward.
The frustration from the accounting and bookkeeping community was understandable, and some of it fell on people who didn’t deserve it, Amelia included. Going forward, we’ll work closely with Xero to refine how we brief and support creators on content like this.
