Gen3 Marketing observes Juneteenth
Juneteenth, first celebrated in Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865, marks the freedom of enslaved people after the U.S. Civil War and President Abraham Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation. For 157 years, African American communities have embraced this holiday, with diverse celebrations ranging from rodeos and parades to community fairs, BBQs and traditional food and drinks.
Observing Juneteenth as a company holiday is part of our continued commitment to building a foundation of diversity and inclusion. We’re committed to building a workplace where everyone is treated with dignity, respect, and fairness. Embracing diversity and fostering inclusion will enable us to continue building a more equitable and just future for all.
This holiday continues to be one that presents an opportunity for reflection, learning, and engaging in conversations that promote understanding and empathy. As a collective, we continue to stand united against discrimination, racism, and inequality in all its forms, honoring the legacy of those who fought for freedom and equality as we commit ourselves to the pursuit of justice and the creation of a better world for future generations.
